What is Battersea Systems?

Battersea Systems is your one-stop training resource portal, with customisation at the heart of its development

The training content is yours, not ours

With Battersea you can create your own content using Microsoft Word and Excel, so it can be as simple or complex as you want. But rather than just importing the Word content, we have developed a translation program that converts the content into standard HTML and CSS.

The training allocation is almost as important as the training itself

“Boring”, “Has nothing to do with my job” are common complaints about e-learning modules. Battersea has been developed to allow you to create specific training for a highly targeted audience – it can be assigned based on an individual basis or a combination of role, department or location.

A platform that tracks progress and generates custom reports

Battersea lets you create your own unique reports. You select the data to be retrieved, decide the data filters and the order in which the data is displayed. Simple colour-coded tracking elements help you manage your way through complex training requirements to a successful completion.

Look and feel – apply your brand and corporate style to your e-learning programs

Battersea includes access to the Core Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) that allows you to completely customise your e-learning system’s look and feel.

A platform that integrates with other systems

Battersea can export most of its data via a flat file format and into Excel, which can then be manipulated and imported into other systems. We are also moving towards providing seamless integration with systems such as SAP, ORICAL and CHRIS. Our development team are also available to assist should you require any specifics integration.

Easy setup and can scale to thousands of users

Battersea can manage up to 100,000 students. Simply login to your Administrator Dashboard and begin to set up your e-learning program. You can do so manually or use the import features throughout the system to quickly and accurately populate your e-learning database.

Accessible on mobile devices

The core display code for Battersea has been developed using two standard technologies ACE and Bootstrap, that allows Battersea to display on any screen size. We have then by applied our own design elements so that students can use Battersea to complete their training regardless of their screen size and browser.

About Battersea Systems

We're not new to e-learning

16 years ago… we developed an online software tool – ecomplytm – for our client, global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF), to train their staff on legal compliance. NRF then successfully marketed ecomplytm to their own clients.

Currently, ecomplytm is used by over 15 companies spanning Australia, NZ, Asia, Africa and the UK, some with as few as 20 active employee users and as many as 3,000 active users.

Meanwhile, we continue to work with both NRF and its clients to maintain and enhance ecomplytm.

In 2018, the ecomplytm program was awarded ‘Best Compliance Training Project’ and ‘Best Bespoke Learning Model’ at the 2018 LearnX Impact Awards.

A new and exciting approach to e-learning

Battersea was created because we felt that ‘online training’ was becoming more ‘tick-a-box’, rather than providing meaningful and effective training for people.

So, we developed an e-learning system that can be tailored to both company and individual needs, where content creation is simple and bespoke; where time-poor employees are engaged in targeted training relevant to their role; and where employers and employees can monitor, review and refine their e-learning progress.

Our experience told us that there was a growing need for simple, adaptable and engaging online training.
